Job Summary

Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess physical capabilities and develop personalized, goal-oriented treatment plans. Deliver skilled therapy interventions including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and appropriate modalities to enhance patient recovery. Consistently monitor and document each patient's progress through electronic medical records (EMRs), adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes. Engage in collaborative care by working closely with physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to create a holistic treatment approach. Provide education to patients and their families regarding therapeutic techniques, safe exercise practices, and strategies for preventing injuries. Implement and oversee fall prevention programs and other safety measures to mitigate risk for patients living within assisted living facilities. Stay informed about the latest advancements in physical therapy and actively participate in ongoing continuing education to enhance personal skills and professional knowledge. Maintain a high standard of professional ethics, ensuring patient confidentiality while focused on providing the highest quality care.

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited college or university
  • Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Virginia
  • A minimum of one year of experience in physical therapy
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in using EMRs and maintaining accurate and timely patient documentation
  • Knowledge of current evidence-based practices in physical therapy
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
