Job Summary
Assist geriatric patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding. Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to the supervising nurse, while providing mobility support such as turning, repositioning, and ambulation to prevent falls. Foster a compassionate environment by addressing unique emotional and physical needs of elderly patients and document all care accurately per facility policy. This per-diem role at a Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Rising Sun, MD, offers flexible shifts from 11:00 PM to 11:00 PM, including a 30-minute break, with an hourly rate of $22.5. Candidates must hold an active Maryland NA license, BLS certification, and at least one year of geriatric experience.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant (NA) program
- Active Maryland state NA license
- Current BLS Certification
- At least one year of relevant field experience working with geriatric patients
- Proficiency in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Proficiency in vital signs monitoring
