Job Summary
Provide basic patient care under nursing direction, including feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, moving, and changing linens for geriatric residents. Maintain accurate information regarding resident conditions and demonstrate knowledge of age-related care needs. Operate during the 11 pm to 7 am night shift as a Certified Geriatric Nursing Assistant. Serve as a supportive team member with patience and enthusiasm to handle difficult residents while communicating effectively in English. Required Qualifications
- Must be a Certified Geriatric Nursing Assistant in accordance with the laws of the state
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served
- Must be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of team work and team concept
- Must have patience tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents
- Must be able to relate information concerning a resident's condition
- 11:00 pm - 7:00 am Shift (Night Shift)
