Job Summary
Oversee the day-to-day operations of a store department, ensuring it meets sales and profitability goals while training and developing department associates in customer service, product knowledge, and merchandising. Manage stocking, display, pricing, inventory levels, and replenishment coordination; maintain department safety and cleanliness; control departmental expenses and assist with budget preparation; communicate with store management and other departments to achieve store-wide goals; actively recruit and coach talent to improve productivity and retention; build diverse teams and uphold merchandising and operational standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Some college coursework preferred
- Previous retail management experience
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
- Proficiency in basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Knowledge of retail operations, merchandising, inventory management, and customer service
- Ability to lift and stand for extended periods
