Geotechnical Staff Field Engineer

Job Summary

Conduct geotechnical site investigations, analyze laboratory test data, and prepare investigation reports to support design applications. Interpret site data to establish material characteristics and perform engineering analyses for seepage, slope stability, bearing capacity, liquefaction, and settlement. Manage work status, workload, and progress updates for management while assisting with proposal preparation, bid documents, capital cost estimates, and construction design reports. Requires a Bachelor's in civil/geotechnical engineering, proficiency in MS Office and geotechnical software, and ability to travel and work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil/geotechnical engineering from an ABET accredited college
  • Knowledge of geotechnical engineering fundamentals
  • Knowledge of geotechnical testing
  • Knowledge of general civil/geotechnical engineering design and construction practices
  • Strong technical skills

  • EIT/FE certification
  • Ability to obtain certification within one year
