Job Summary
Geotechnical Project Engineer to lead planning, coordination, and execution of geotechnical, construction, and special inspection projects for Energy clients. Role involves field presence, technical analysis of foundations, slope stability, and settlement, and development of practical, site-specific recommendations. Responsibilities include regular site visits to monitor progress, ensure compliance with plans and specifications, client and contractor liaison, and preparation of detailed reports and field documentation. Mentorship of junior staff and use of Metafield® to track observations and testing results are part of the role. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering (or related field), 4+ years of relevant experience, and a PE license or ability to obtain; proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AutoCAD; strong math, writing, and communication skills. The position is full-time and based in Lexington, KY, with emphasis on safety, regulatory compliance, and delivering high-quality geotechnical and construction solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering, Mining, or a related engineering field
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience on geotechnical/geostructural/construction projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain
- Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and AutoCAD
- Strong math and communication skills in English
- Strong writing skills
- Willingness to perform physical field work and site visits
