Job Summary
Manage and oversee geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring projects, including installation, data acquisition, analysis, and reporting. Coordinate with clients, design teams, and contractors to develop project-specific monitoring strategies and work plans. Lead preparation of technical submittals, schedules, and cost estimates. Supervise field teams in the installation and commissioning of sensors and data logging systems. Ensure project compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and quality assurance protocols. Review and interpret data to ensure accuracy and reliability. Support business development through proposal writing and client meetings. Candidates should have a degree in Civil Engineering, P.Eng registration, and a strong background in geotechnical instrumentation.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Registered Professional Engineering in Ontario (P.Eng)
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring projects.
- Proven project management experience, ideally in infrastructure, transit, or tunneling projects.
- Familiarity with a range of monitoring tools and platforms (e.g., VW systems, robotic total stations, T4D, GeoMoS, or similar).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
Desired Qualifications
- Strong understanding of field operations, data validation, and geotechnical interpretation.
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
