Job Summary
Geotechnical Engineer role in Perth, WA, supporting geotechnical and tunnel projects across transport, energy, mining and government sectors. Provide technical advice on complex geotechnical issues, manage field investigations, prepare technical reports, lead safety initiatives, mentor other geotechnical engineers, and contribute to tenders and client communications. Requires a civil engineering or engineering geology degree, geotechnical consulting experience, capability to travel regionally/nationally up to 14 days, and ability to work autonomously within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
Required Qualifications
- A civil engineering or engineering geology degree
- Australian Citizenship preferred due to potential project and client requirements
- Proven experience in geotechnical engineering
- Experience in undertaking and managing geotechnical field investigations
- including soil and rock logging
- Demonstrated experience in the preparation / review of written technical reports and client communications
- Demonstrated experience in geotechnical design including rock/soil/structure interaction
- A strong work ethic and ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
- A willingness to travel regionally and nationally for up to 14 days at a time
- A problem solver with an adaptable and collaborative approach
