Job Summary
Conduct offshore geotechnical site investigation campaigns and design profiles, specifying and processing advanced laboratory test results. Perform soil structure interaction assessments, 3D finite element modelling, and foundation installation evaluations for offshore wind farms. Prepare design briefs, engage in certification processes, and support technical leads from concept through detailed design. Engage in R&D activities and develop in-house engineering software. This role requires a master's degree or PhD in civil or geotechnical engineering, with experience in monopile, pin pile, and suction caisson design. Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a professional engineer
- Highly numerate
- Experience of developing / writing your own software using programs such as MATLAB
- Knowledge / experience with geotechnical engineering related to offshore wind farms
- Experience with design of monopiles, pin piles and suction caissons
- Experience with design codes / guidelines such as API, Eurocode, DIN, DNV-OS-J101
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with clients and other consultants effectively
