Job Summary
Lead geotechnical and engineering geology delivery across major infrastructure, transport, and development projects in Townsville. Oversee project planning, investigations, analysis, design, risk management, and technical governance while championing safe, high-quality delivery. Build trusted client relationships to provide high-value technical and commercial advice, drive performance across safety and commercial outcomes, and mentor engineers to foster a collaborative team culture. Contribute to business growth through strategic client engagement and winning work. This senior role combines technical leadership with project delivery for the Geotechnical & Tunnels division, offering hybrid working flexibility and relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience in geotechnical engineering, engineering geology or a related discipline
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- CPEng, RPEQ (or equivalent), or progress toward accreditation
- Strong technical capability across ground investigations, geotechnical analysis, design and risk management
- Experience delivering complex infrastructure, construction or multidisciplinary projects
- Proven project leadership skills, including managing scope, budgets, programmes, resources and technical deliverables
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and client relationship management skills
- Experience across sectors such as transport, tunnelling, water and urban development
