Geotechnical Engineer

Job Summary
Conduct on-site inspections and investigations including surveying, documenting observations, photographing, and sketching. Perform geotechnical investigations and laboratory testing programs while researching historic backgrounds, technical issues, and code problems. Execute analyses for bearing capacity, slope stability, and settlement, then provide geotechnical support during construction. Prepare technical reports, presentations, and visualizations to explain findings and address design or construction issues. Contribute to the strategic growth of the forensic geotechnical practice and assist with business development for the Orlando, Florida Forensics Team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or geotechnical engineering
- Good understanding and knowledge of geotechnical engineering and related disciplines
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, follow instruction, work independently, and comply with company policies
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with a team
- Ability and willingness to travel within the USA and internationally
Desired Qualifications
- Master's or PhD in geotechnical engineering
- A member of and/or actively participate in local professional practice organizations
