Job Summary
Geotechnical Engineer - Mid Level in Hybrid, based in Barr's Minneapolis, MN or Salt Lake City, UT offices. Responsible for field investigations, lab/test coordination, data analysis, and geotechnical report support; performs fieldwork including construction observation and instrumentation; assists with project management, planning, and cost estimates; conducts engineering investigations and design support for foundations, slope stability, seepage, and earth-retention; provides mentorship to junior team members; hybrid work arrangement with weekly office presence required; travel up to 25% domestically; must have a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) in geotechnical-related field, PE license preferred, and ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in geotechnical engineering, geological engineering, or civil engineering with a geotechnical emphasis.
- A graduate degree in geotechnical engineering is preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one is preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Willingness and ability to regularly travel.
