Job Summary
Conduct offshore site characterization and geotechnical analysis to support fixed and floating foundation, mooring, and subsea cable designs. Perform quality control of geotechnical datasets, interpret survey data, and supervise marine geotechnical survey operations. Lead geoscience workstreams for bids or projects, managing budgets, schedules, risks, and procurement from RFQ through certification. Provide technical inputs for foundation and cable design while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external contractors. Identify and mitigate geotechnical risks to ensure safety and reliability across offshore wind projects worldwide.
Required Qualifications
- MSc degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering or equivalent
- Proficient written and spoken English, including the ability to work with technical documentation and international stakeholders
- 5+ years of practical experience working within the geotechnical engineering field on offshore wind projects
- Experience in bottom fixed project
- Knowledge and experience of the offshore geotechnical survey field: RFQ processes, contractors, equipment, laboratory testing, etc
- Experience of working with integration of data sets and a familiarity of working with the international and local standards
- Project management capabilities, and experience in managing large projects of site investigation and interpretation
- Experience in integration of geophysical and geotechnical data, geotechnical interpretative reporting, use of ground models and geohazard registers
- Knowledge of offshore design codes and industry practices
- Diplôme de niveau Bac+5 (Master ou diplôme d'ingénieur) en Génie Civil, Géotechnique ou domaine équivalent
- Maîtrise de l'anglais écrit et oral, avec capacité à travailler sur de la documentation technique et dans un environnement international
- Minimum 5 ans d'expérience en ingénierie géotechnique appliquée aux projets d'éolien offshore
- Une expérience sur des projets à fondations fixes (bottom-fixed) est indispensable
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in floating offshore wind and anchor design
- Experience in concept to detailed offshore foundation/anchor design
- Field experience of marine site investigations
- Knowledge and practical experience of GIS systems and a desire to work with these
- Knowledge of geophysical surveys and interpretation
- Knowledge of UXO field for offshore wind (strategy, technical requirements, etc)
