Job Summary
Langan is looking for an Entry Level Geotechnical Engineer to assist with planning and executing field investigations, monitoring construction activities, and preparing geotechnical engineering reports. Responsibilities include logging borings, collecting and analyzing data, and documenting site conditions. Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering, 0-2 years of experience, and a minimum GPA of 3.0. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree specializing in Geotechnical Engineering and EIT Certification. Successful candidates must have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to spend significant time in the field.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering required
- 0-2 years of work-related experience
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- U.S. citizenship is a client-mandated requirement
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s degree with Geotechnical specialty or desire to pursue is preferred
- EIT Certification, or current registration for FE exam preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities
- Willingness to spend the majority of work hours in the field
- Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment
- Possess reliable transportation for client meetings and job site visits and a valid driver’s license in good standing
