Geotechnical Engineer (EIT)

Job Summary
Assist with planning and undertaking ground investigations across a variety of sites, supervising boreholes, trial pits, and intrusive ground investigations. Carry out soil and rock logging in accordance with industry standards, recording site data accurately and maintaining high-quality field notes. Support the interpretation of geotechnical data and laboratory test results, assisting in preparing factual and interpretative geotechnical reports. Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and clients professionally while ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures. Travel to sites across the UK, with occasional overnight stays where required. This graduate role offers full training and mentoring from experienced engineers to develop technical and practical skills within a leading provider of testing, inspection, certification, and compliance services.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- A full UK driving licence (or be working towards obtaining one)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Good attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- The flexibility to travel and work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
