Job Summary
Conduct geotechnical investigations and analysis to assess soil properties, stability, and foundation design for various projects. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop engineering solutions that align with project objectives, client requirements, and regulatory standards. Prepare detailed engineering designs, calculations, and specifications for geotechnical aspects of projects. Perform field inspections, monitoring, and testing to ensure compliance with design specifications and construction quality. Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to address engineering-related inquiries and challenges. Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in geotechnical engineering.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the relevant jurisdiction
- Proven experience in geotechnical engineering, including foundation design, soil mechanics, slope stability analysis, and ground improvement techniques
- Strong proficiency in relevant software and tools for geotechnical analysis and design (e.g., AutoCAD, Geo5, LPile, etc.)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically in complex geotechnical situations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members, clients, and stakeholders
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
