Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with geotechnical/geological engineering emphasis
  • Master’s degree in geotechnical/geological engineering preferred
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in a US state with ability to obtain comity in other states
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in geotechnical/geological engineering
  • Experience designing and submitting analyses for dam projects at FERC facilities is highly desirable
  • Ability to independently manage projects with budgets of 250 to 2000 engineering hours
  • Working knowledge of FERC, US Army Corps of Engineers, Bureau of Reclamation, and similar standards
  • Experience providing geotechnical support for structural design
  • Proficiency with GeoStudio SLOPE/W and SEEP/W or similar tools
  • Experience overseeing field exploration and laboratory testing for embankment dams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication skills and client relationship building
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record
