Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with geotechnical/geological engineering emphasis
- Master’s degree in geotechnical/geological engineering preferred
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in a US state with ability to obtain comity in other states
- Minimum 10 years of experience in geotechnical/geological engineering
- Experience designing and submitting analyses for dam projects at FERC facilities is highly desirable
- Ability to independently manage projects with budgets of 250 to 2000 engineering hours
- Working knowledge of FERC, US Army Corps of Engineers, Bureau of Reclamation, and similar standards
- Experience providing geotechnical support for structural design
- Proficiency with GeoStudio SLOPE/W and SEEP/W or similar tools
- Experience overseeing field exploration and laboratory testing for embankment dams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication skills and client relationship building
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
