Job Summary
As a Geotechnical Engineer 3, the successful candidate will be responsible for performing geotechnical engineering assignments involving investigations and designs for diverse facilities such as foundations for transmission lines, buildings, and bridges, along with natural gas pipeline designs and residual waste landfills. Key responsibilities include conducting subsurface investigations, preparing proposals, budgets, calculations, specifications, reports, and supervising fieldwork including test boring monitoring and logging. Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to manage projects and mentor other engineers are essential. Candidates are required to have a Professional Engineer license and at least 8 years of experience in the geotechnical field.
Required Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) License
- 8+ years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering
- B.S. or M.S. in Engineering
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with geotechnical field instrumentation
- Experience with soil reinforcement and ground improvement techniques
- Familiarity with engineering economics, risk analysis, and construction management
