Job Summary
Geotechnical Driller needed to support drilling operations for Olsson, performing on-site drilling tasks under supervision, setting up and monitoring safety/efficiency of operations, preparing daily records, and ensuring compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements. Requires collaboration with drilling staff, senior technicians, engineers, surveyors, and construction managers; travel year-round in all terrains; capable of interpreting soil classifications and characteristics; must hold a high school diploma, be able to obtain railroad/safety certifications, and secure a CDL. Will work full-time with opportunities for flexible work arrangements and participate in company benefits and wellness programs.
Required Qualifications
- Must have high school diploma
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in geotechnical drilling or the construction industry
- Ability to obtain and maintain railroad and safety certifications
- Ability to pass Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements and obtain a commercial driver's license (CDL)
- Experience with Continuous flight augers, Hollow stem augers (3 1/4-inch, 4 1/4-inch, and 6 1/4-inch), NQ wireline coring/tooling, Well installation (2-inch, 4-inch, and 6-inch)
- ASTM sampling methods
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Physical ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
