Job Summary
Conduct field observation, sampling, and testing of construction materials including soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel. Document results for Level 1 interns or assist in report creation, soil classification, and technical roles for Level 2 interns under minimal supervision. Commit to at least 10 weeks during summer months with a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and ability to lift up to 80 pounds. Civil Engineer (Geotechnical) students are highly desirable.
Required Qualifications
- Commitment to work at least 10 weeks during the summer months
- Reliable vehicle for construction sites
- Valid driver's license
- Satisfactory driving record
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 60-80 pounds
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to perform basic mathematical procedures
- Ability to use measurement tools
