Job Summary
Geospatial Technician responsible for using GIS, CAD, and GPS to capture, verify, revise, and maintain facilities data in the enterprise geodatabase; interpret inspector notes and field markups; produce record drawings and maps; ensure data completeness and accuracy; support engineering customer requirements with detailed, high-quality GIS/CAD deliverables; preferred certifications in water distribution and/or transmission systems; requires ability to work independently and in small teams and to obtain necessary driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- experience with CAD and GIS systems (ArcGIS, CAD)
- knowledge of GIS, CAD and SQL
- ability to interpret engineering drawings and field notes
- experience creating/editing plots and maps
- exposure to survey-grade GPS and data postprocessing
- valid Nevada driver’s license
