Job Summary
Process aerial and mobile lidar data, including editing, photogrammetric stereo-compilation, and orthoimagery creation. Support high-accuracy mapping projects using Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and deliverable QA/QC for corridor mapping. Communicate technical project requirements with clients and staff verbally and in writing while maintaining data quality and integrity. Requires a bachelor's or associate's degree in geography, three years of relevant experience, and a valid driver's license. Located in the Madison, Wisconsin office.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's or associate's degree in geography or related discipline (cartography, GIS, survey, remote sensing)
- A minimum of three years of experience in at least one of the above technical skills
- Familiarity with CAD-based platforms
- demonstrated experience with common geospatial processing and editing software for lidar, aerial imagery, and/or stereo-compilation
- A valid driver's license with a good driving record
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with wide area lidar editing, 3D breakline compilation, and deliverable QA/QC
- Experience with lidar data extraction for corridor mapping projects
- Experience with orthoimage editing
- Experience with map compilation for departments of transportation or other engineering-grade applications
