Job Summary
Develop, enhance, and maintain front-end geospatial web applications using robust Vanilla JavaScript architecture, implementing and customizing mapping functionality with the ArcGIS JavaScript API 4.x. Collaborate with back-end developers, analysts, and GIS specialists to integrate spatial data and services while troubleshooting and optimizing front-end performance, usability, and map rendering behavior. Support MS SQL Server ETL processes and utilize ArcGIS Python tools for data loading, automation routines, and system administration workflows. Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and best-practice development processes, preparing technical documentation for applications, workflows, and data processes. Join the ASRC Federal team in a remote role to design and build mission-critical geospatial workflows supporting space, public health, and defense missions.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in a related field
- 4+ years of experience
- Demonstrable experience writing clean, modular, and well-structured JavaScript
- designing applications in Vanilla JavaScript without heavy frameworks
- Hands-on experience developing geospatial applications with ArcGIS JS API 4.x
- Working knowledge of SQL Server ETL workflows
