Job Summary
Conduct advanced geospatial analysis and GIS support for intelligence, operational, and enterprise mission requirements. Develop, maintain, and analyze geospatial datasets to support military operations, strategic planning, and decision-making. Design high-quality digital maps, visualizations, and dashboards for operational and executive audiences. Manage enterprise spatial databases and support data governance, metadata management, and quality assurance initiatives. Integrate geospatial information from multiple repositories into comprehensive analytical products and apply spatial modeling to identify trends and operational impacts. Collaborate with government, Intelligence Community, and industry partners on technical projects and capability assessments. Develop executive-level multimedia presentations, technical documentation, and reports for senior leadership. Mentor junior professionals and ensure compliance with Army, DoD, and National System for GEOINT standards.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Geomatics, Geospatial Sciences, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geography, Remote Sensing, or a related technical discipline
- Bachelor's Degree in Geomatics, Geospatial Sciences, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geography, Remote Sensing, or a related technical discipline
- High School Diploma/GED
- formal DoD Geospatial Information Services training
- applicable military occupational specialty
- 15 years of Intelligence Analysis or Geospatial Analysis experience
- Demonstrated experience in geospatial analysis, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or enterprise geospatial information management
- Current active TS/SCI security clearance with a current Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI)
- Expert proficiency with enterprise GIS platforms and geospatial software, including: Esri ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, MapBox, GeoServer, Comparable GIS applications
- Experience designing, managing, and maintaining enterprise spatial databases utilizing: Oracle Spatial, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, Comparable relational database systems
- Extensive experience performing geographically derived assessments, spatial analytics, and enterprise geospatial data integration
- Strong understanding of: Spatial data governance, Metadata management, Data quality assurance, Business intelligence metrics, Performance measurement
- Experience creating professional cartographic products, GIS dashboards, multimedia presentations, and written technical reports
- Experience collaborating with government agencies, industry partners, and technical teams on geospatial software evaluations, technical projects, and capability development
- Familiarity with DoD and National System for GEOINT (NSG) Structured Observation Management (SOM) and Object-Based Production (OBP) methodologies
- Excellent written, verbal, analytical, and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple technical projects and support enterprise geospatial initiatives in dynamic operational environments
Desired Qualifications
- Experience developing custom geospatial applications, workflows, or automation using: Python, R, SAS, Java, Other programming languages supporting spatial analysis
- Experience integrating and managing Intelligence Community and Department of Defense geospatial repositories and enterprise datasets
- Experience working within Agile, Scrum, or other project management frameworks supporting software or GIS development
- Demonstrated expertise in: Cartography, GIS Analysis, Spatial Modeling, Geospatial Data Visualization
- Familiarity with Army, DoD, Intelligence Community, and National System for GEOINT (NSG) geospatial policies, standards, and programs
- Professional geospatial certifications such as: Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP), Esri Technical or Professional Certifications, GEOINT Professional Certification (GPC) Series, Equivalent government or industry certifications
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and graphic design software to develop executive-quality products and presentations
