Job Summary
Contribute to stakeholder engagement events and decision support tools and dashboard development. Develop and optimize machine learning classification-based pipelines using Sentinel SAR & Optical data, Planet Scope satellite data, and time series analysis. Leverage Google Earth Engine-based advanced programming, Python, or R for geospatial modelling techniques including suitability, hydrological, and watershed analysis. Coordinate ground truth data collection with field staff and utilize satellite data-derived features for predictive modeling. Produce reports, research papers, and short communications.
Required Qualifications
- Skilled in Satellite Image Classification using Sentinel SAR & Optical data, Planet Scope satellite data, etc., along with time series analysis
- Demonstrated skills in Machine Learning classification-based pipeline development and optimization
- Sound knowledge of Google Earth Engine-based advanced programming, GEE app development, Python, and/or R programming
- Understanding of advanced geospatial modelling techniques (for suitability analysis, hydrological modelling, watershed analysis, etc.)
- Skills in predictive modeling using satellite data-derived features and field data
- Understanding of geospatial tools development
- Sound knowledge of ground truth data collection and coordination skills with field staff
- Excellent skills in report writing, research paper writing, and short communication writing
