Job Summary
The Geophysical Engineer 1 is responsible for the technical execution of marine geophysical surveys, including equipment mobilization, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Key responsibilities include conducting inspections of faulty equipment, planning surveys, preparing quality assurance procedures, and ensuring the safe acquisition of geophysical data. Candidates are expected to have a B.E./B.Tech. degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience, with expertise in single beam and multi beam survey equipment, as well as strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
Required Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech. in Engineering or Equivalent course or Indian Navy
- 5+ years of experience
- Single beam survey equipment
- Multi beam survey equipment
- Bathymetric Survey equipment
- Geophysical survey equipment (Side Scan Sonar, Sub Bottom Profilers)
- Magnetometer
- Calibration and verification of survey sensors
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in offshore surveys
- Knowledge on UHR, Survey Navigation and Data Logging Software, Deepwater surveys
- Knowledge of relevant equipment and software in use
- High degree of technical reporting skills in English language
