Job Summary
Geology Technician II in Bangor, Maine provides hydrogeological assistance in investigating and remediating contaminated sites. Responsibilities include sampling monitoring wells, drinking water supplies, contaminated soil, and other media; assisting in setting up and maintaining remediation systems; using GPS to locate features, downloading data, and creating maps in ArcMap; organizing site data in Bureau databases; maintaining equipment and supplies; and coordinating with staff and contractors to meet clean-up goals. The role requires familiarity with rules and regulations for remedial sites, willingness to travel across eastern and northern Maine, and the ability to work in a team with minimal supervision after training. Required Qualifications
- A five (5) year combination of technical education and/or related experience in geology or closely related field.
