Job Summary
Geology Technician responsible for assisting Exploration with core measurements, logging, sample preparation, QA/QC, and equipment operation. Duties include measuring diamond drill core, logging/photographing core, preparing core samples, maintaining sample integrity, operating equipment (forklift, skid-steer, backhoe, bulldozer), general maintenance of logging facility, preparing QA/QC samples, liaising with assay lab, and maintaining logging-supplies inventory. Must have HS diploma, clean driving record, safety-conscious with ability to lift up to 60 pounds and work outdoors; 8 on/6 off schedule with 10-hour shifts. Equal Opportunity Employer.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience core lab or mining environment preferred
- Clean driving record required
- Excellent safety record and self-motivated
- Able to thrive in a dynamic and challenging environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills (Outlook, Word) preferred
- Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting up to 60 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Must pass physical exam, drug screening and background check
