Job Summary
Geology Superintendent leading site geology across exploration, study, and operational phases in a Nevada mining operation. Owns technical leadership of all geological activities—from mapping and sampling to ore control, reconciliation, geological modeling, resource estimation, and database management. Ensures QA/QC, integrates geological insights with mine planning and production decisions, and guides drilling programs, budgeting, and capital planning. Manages the geology team, budgets, and cross-functional partnerships with engineering, operations, processing, and environmental teams. Preferred NI 43-101 Qualified Person status and experience with geometallurgy, reconciliation practices, and transition from study to operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 10+ years of experience in mining geology, including 5+ years in a leadership role
- Strong experience in geological modeling and resource estimation
- Proficiency with tools such as Leapfrog and mining software platforms
- Experience in both open-pit and underground mining environments
- Experience managing drilling programs and exploration campaigns
- Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels
- Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills
