Job Summary
Compile and validate spatial geological data using ArcPro, Leapfrog, and other software while tracking exploration information in a collaborative team environment. Collect data from government portals, organize documents, and manage scanning, archiving, and file control systems. This 12-month contract supports the corporate exploration team at Alamos Gold's Toronto office, offering mentoring for recent geology graduates proficient in GIS and mineral exploration workflows.
Required Qualifications
- BSc or MSc in Earth Science (Geology)
- Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo) registration or the ability to register
- Knowledge of mineral exploration workflows (sampling and geological mapping, core logging, data compilation)
- Basic knowledge of mineral claims system in Ontario
- proficiency with ArcPro or QGIS
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong research and analytical skills, problem solving, troubleshooting
- Effective communication and organization skills
- 4 days in office
