Job Summary
Act as a technical lead on exploration projects, ensuring geoscientific data and observations are collected from drill programs. Ensure high-quality geological interpretations are made in the field and office while overseeing contractor management, safety, health, and environment programs. Mentor junior personnel and perform office activities such as data compilation, drill core logging, and creating interpretive cross sections. Work in a rotational schedule out of northern Saskatchewan during summer and winter field seasons, with the ability to work in remote locations for extended periods. This role supports Cameco's mission to provide uranium fuel for a secure energy future through exploration projects in Saskatchewan, Kazakhstan, the United States, and Australia.
Required Qualifications
- bachelor's degree in geology or related discipline
- minimum four years relevant work experience
- eligible for registration with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS)
- ability to work in remote locations for extended periods of time
- digital literacy, proficiency in Microsoft Office
- excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
- valid class 5 driver's license
- pre-employment substance test
- Resident of Saskatchewan's North (RSN)
Desired Qualifications
- First Aid, ATV and/or snowmobile training
- GIS and 3D geological modelling experience
- master's degree or PHD in geology or geoscience
- previous mineral exploration, drill core logging and/or uranium industry experience
