Conduct contaminated site characterization, monitoring, and remediation field assessments by sampling groundwater, soil, sediment, and air while overseeing well installations and classifying soils. Execute field operations using aircraft, ATVs, and watercraft to gather environmental data, document site conditions, and verify project specifications against safety standards. Prepare technical work plans, reports, and proposals while managing subcontractors and adhering to strict schedule and budget objectives. This tiered geologist role supports program managers on diverse assignments involving site characterization and long-term monitoring, with fieldwork ranging from 10% to 60% of the time depending on level.

Required Qualifications

Geology background
Willingness to travel periodically
Knowledge of environmental laws and regulations
Bachelor's Degree in Geology or geological sciences
US Citizen
Ability to pass background checks by various Federal Agencies (e.g., DoD, DHS, FAA, etc.) to obtain security access badges
Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record, able to drive a company vehicle
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint Online
Adept at explaining technical aspects of fieldwork to internal and external clients verbally and in writing
Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds
Ability to bend, pushing, pulling, and standing for up to 10 hours
Good hand-eye coordination and motion control in coordination with handling tools, equipment, and other related components
