Job Summary
The Geologist position involves preparing plans and reports, conducting field sampling for site investigations, and overseeing projects related to remediation and monitoring. Responsibilities include managing field activities, preparing technical documents, and coordinating with clients and subcontractors. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, have relevant experience based on the level of application, and possess HAZWOPER certification. Strong writing and technical skills are essential for success in this role, which requires the ability to work on DoD installations and may necessitate U.S. citizenship.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Geology or geological sciences
- Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER
- Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
- Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite, project tracking software, GIS, graphics software, MS Access, and PowerPoint
- Must be a US Citizen
- Able to obtain US Government Security Clearance
- Level - I: Zero (0) to Three (3) years of relevant working experience
- Level - II: Three (3) to Five (5) years of relevant working experience
- Level - III: Five (5) to Seven (7) years of relevant working experience
- Level - Senior: Eight (8) or more years of relevant working experience
Desired Qualifications
- Professional Geologist Registration
- Certified Environmental Manager (if located in Nevada)
- 8 Hour HAZWOPER Refresher
- CPR/1st Aid Certified
- Experience working on projects with Federal clients
- DoD Experience
