Job Summary
Geologist with 4-7 years of hands-on experience in gold mining operations. Responsibilities include geological mapping, sampling, and analysis of gold deposits; interpret data to guide drilling and blasting activities; oversee blast designs aligned with geological structures; collaborate with mining engineers to optimize ore recovery and minimize dilution; prepare detailed geological reports, logs, and maps; supervise field assistants and ensure safety and efficiency; ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology
- 4–7 years of hands-on experience as Geologist in gold mining operations
- Proven experience with the blasting process in gold mining
- Ability to work independently in the field
- Proficient in geological software and data interpretation tools
- Strong communication, organizational, and reporting skills
- Willing to be based full-time in Kahama, Tanzania
