Job Summary
Map, sample, and guide underground production headings while logging and sampling drill core. Collect detailed geotechnical information in the core lab and underground, utilizing computer software to interpret geology and produce representative maps. Provide technical information on ore width and grade and operate surface and underground equipment such as trucks, tractors, and forklifts. Work cooperatively with other technical services personnel in both underground and office environments. Requires rotating shifts and the ability to perform physical tasks including ladder climbing and lifting core boxes.
Required Qualifications
- Leadership qualities including character, teamwork, communication, business sense and vision
- Must be able to perform all physical requirements of the underground work, which includes but is not limited to Ladder climbing and walking on uneven broken rock piles
- Lifting and carrying is required (core boxes, sample bags, iron gates, etc.)
- Operate surface and underground equipment (trucks, tractors, forklift)
- BS, BA or higher Geoscience degree
- one to three (1-3) years of relevant experience

- Organized and systematic with attention to detail and quality
- Observational skills for mineralogy and structural features
- Understand and interpret plan maps and cross-sections
