Job Summary
Identify, evaluate, and mature exploration opportunities within the International New Ventures Team by integrating geological, geophysical, petrophysical, and geochemical data to assess petroleum systems and generate prospects. Lead an interdisciplinary team of geoscientists, engineers, and business development professionals to support ongoing exploration projects, applying expertise in both conventional and unconventional exploration and development. Maintain international prospector experience while mentoring others and utilizing industry-standard software like Petra, Petrel, and ArcGIS to handle high volumes of data. This Advisor-level role requires an MS in Geology and 15 years of oil and gas prospecting experience, with a focus on supporting EOG Resources' global operations in Houston, TX.
Required Qualifications
- MS degree in Geology
- minimum of 15 years of oil and gas prospecting experience
- Strong expertise in integrating geological, geophysical, petrophysical, geochemical and well log data
- Proficiency with industry-standard geoscience software such as Petra, Petrel, Kingdom, ArcGIS, or similar platforms
- ability to handle high volumes of data
