Job Summary
Geography Adjunct position at Colorado Early Colleges in Colorado Springs. Teaches GEO 1005: World Regional Geography on Tuesdays and Thursdays 11:32 a.m.–12:41 p.m., develops and administers curriculum aligned with state and college standards, creates lesson plans and instructional materials, conducts ongoing assessment and adjusts methods to support student learning, maintains Infinite Campus records for grading and attendance, designs activities linking coursework to everyday life, enforces conduct per the Student and Family Handbook, and collaborates with staff and participates in professional development. Requires a Masters degree in a related field (or 18 graduate credits in the subject) and successful background check; position may begin reviewing applications prior to the deadline.
Required Qualifications
- Masters degree in a field directly related to the area of instruction, or a masters degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the subject area of instruction
- Prior teaching experience preferred
- IRCA compliance: successful background check and legal right to work in the United States within 72 hours of employment
