Job Summary
Develop and revise high performance next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis pipeline systems, creating complex data integration methods across various sequencing techniques. Lead brainstorming sessions to solve complex data analysis problems for specialized research methodologies while overseeing database development and maintenance for ongoing projects. Investigate puzzling data issues and manage hardware and software resources for multiple labs to ensure system reliability. Prepare research reports for presentation to non-computational staff and assist with manuscript preparation for publication.
Required Qualifications
- Experience developing and revising high performance next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis pipeline systems
- Ability to develop complex data integration methods/algorithms across various NGS sequencing techniques
- Capability to lead or participate in brainstorming sessions to seek reliable solutions for complex data analysis related to specialized research methodologies
- Experience overseeing the development and maintenance of complex databases to support new and ongoing research projects
- Ability to investigate and solve complex problems involving interesting and sometimes puzzling data
- Experience managing hardware and software resources for multiple labs
- Capability to ensure systems meet the continuing needs of the labs
- Ability to prepare research reports for presentation to a broad range of non-computational staff
- Experience assisting with preparation of manuscripts for publication
