Job Summary
Lead and guide country staff to execute the annual scientific and medical plan for the Pulmonary Hypertension therapeutic area. Chair the Regional Value and Implementation Team to ensure execution of agreed medical tactics, set strategic goals, and consolidate regional input for global teams. Engage with a network of scientific leaders, payers, and government officials to deliver actionable insights and organize regional expert-input events and symposia. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to drive regional plans, review investigator-initiated study proposals, and manage regional programs for safe medicine utilization. Translate global goals into regional priorities while ensuring scientific exchange aligns with the global communications platform.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum MD, PhD or PharmD (MD preferred)
- recognized medical expertise in the Pulmonary Hypertension therapy area
- Three or more years of experience in country/region Medical Affairs
- Strong prioritization and decision-making skills
- Able to effectively collaborate with partners across divisions in a matrix environment
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication (written as well as oral) skills
- results-oriented project-management skills
- Experience leading or participating in cross-functional teams (e.g., RVIT or similar strategic forums) and driving alignment across countries and functions
- Ability to travel up to 25%
- Scientific leadership and other key stakeholders (payers, public groups, government officials, medical professional organizations) in the assigned therapeutic area
