Job Summary
Delivers safe, effective, and independent nursing care using the nursing process, performing thorough patient assessments and developing individualized care plans based on patient input. Documents care accurately in electronic records, identifies learning needs, and recognizes cultural differences to personalize treatment. Functions in a developing leadership role by delegating appropriately, working with interdisciplinary teams, and assisting in orienting staff and students. Identifies policy revision needs based on evidence-based research, collects and analyzes data to improve patient care, and maintains required clinical lattice points. Requires a BSN or ADN with recent nursing experience, valid Georgia RN license, and BLS certification. Shift work and exposure to blood-borne pathogens and bio-hazardous waste are part of the environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited prelicensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- 12 months of recent nursing experience within the past five years
- Graduate of an accredited prelicensure Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience within the past five years
- Valid, unencumbered Registered Nursing License approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing
- BLS certification
- Active compact/multistate license (eNLC) within 60 days of hire (if completing virtual care activities that may include multi-state practice)
- 36-75 lbs lifting capability (0-33% of the work day)
- 20-35 lbs lifting capability (34-66% of the workday)
- 10-20 lbs lifting capability (67-100% of the workday)
- Lifting 75 lbs max
- Carrying of objects up to 35 lbs
- Occasional to frequent standing & walking
- Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing)
- Ability to work in environments with Blood-borne pathogen exposure
- Ability to work in environments with Bio-hazardous waste
- Ability to work in environments with Chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors
- Ability to work in environments with Communicable diseases
- Ability to work in environments with Electrical shock
- Ability to work in environments with Floor Surfaces
- Ability to work in environments with Hot/Cold Temperatures
- Ability to work in environments with Indoor/Outdoor conditions
- Ability to work in environments with Latex
