Job Summary

Conduct risk assessment, education, and psychological support for individuals and families at risk for hereditary cancer by obtaining personal and family medical histories and assessing germline mutation risks. Determine if genetic testing is indicated based on national guidelines, obtain informed consent, and interpret test results to provide post-test counseling and medical management recommendations. Collaborate with physicians on a multidisciplinary team to discuss screening, prevention, and cascade testing while maintaining patient charting and billing submissions. Plan and direct clinical genetic counseling protocols, monitor program quality, and participate in research activities including manuscript development and professional presentations.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in genetic counseling
  • Board certification by the American Board of Genetic Counselors (ABGC)
  • Exceptional communication skills
