Job Summary
Genetic Resources Access Specialist working at Enza Zaden to ensure full compliance with ABS and related international regulations while maximizing access for research and breeding. You will monitor global ABS laws, translate developments into internal policies, implement compliant workflows for use of genetic resources and derivatives, serve as the go-to ABS expert for research and breeding teams, draft/review ABS contracts with Legal Affairs, advise on opportunities to access new resources within legal frameworks, and deliver training across the organization. The role involves navigating a global stakeholder network, collaboration with Legal Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, and various R&D teams, and occasional international travel. A Master’s degree and experience with ABS regulations, plus strong stakeholder management and English fluency, are required.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree (preferably in law, life sciences or related field)
- 3–8 years of experience with Access and Benefit Sharing regulations or similar regulatory frameworks
- Strong understanding of international legislation and ability to translate into practical processes
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
