Job Summary
Design and execute gene-editing experiments using CRISPR/Cas9, ZFNs, and TALENs while conducting genome mapping, DNA/RNA isolation, and sequencing analysis. Maintain and engineer plasmids, vectors, and delivery systems, then optimize protocols for gene expression and knockdown in prokaryotic and eukaryotic systems. Perform cellular assays, PCR, qPCR, Western blotting, and gel electrophoresis to support translational research in healthcare, agriculture, and biopharma. Document laboratory findings, prepare technical reports and publications, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and laboratory safety protocols. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including molecular biologists, biostatisticians, and clinicians.
Required Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing
- Molecular cloning, PCR, gel electrophoresis, and sequencing
- Experience working with mammalian and bacterial cell lines
- Familiarity with LIMS and laboratory data management tools
- Excellent documentation and scientific communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- PhD or MSc in Genetics, Molecular Biology, or Biomedical Engineering
- Experience in bioinformatics tools (e.g., BLAST, Geneious, Benchling)
- Knowledge of synthetic biology or mRNA therapeutics
- Published peer-reviewed scientific research in the field
