Job Summary
Lead comprehensive genetic counseling services and coordinate specialized screening programs for patients within the Maternal Fetal Medicine department. Identify and assess families at risk for genetic disorders, birth defects, or inherited conditions, then assist with diagnosis and collaboratively develop personalized long-term counseling plans. This role requires Florida Department of Health genetic counseling licensure, a Master's Science in Genetic Counseling, and ABGC certification, with a day shift full-time schedule at Ascension Sacred Heart in Pensacola, FL.
Required Qualifications
- Counselor specializing in Genetics credentialed from the Florida Department of Health obtained within 24 Months (2 years) of hire date or job transfer date
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience
- Associate's degree/Technical degree
- 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience
