Job Summary
As an entry-level Genetic Counselor I in the Genetics Clinic, you will work under supervision to conduct patient interviews and family history assessments, provide genetic counseling for prenatal, pediatric, adult, and cancer genetics, educate patients about genetic conditions and testing options, assist with ordering, interpreting, and communicating genetic test results, and prepare case summaries and documentation for patient records. You will participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, stay current with developments in genetics and genomics, and assist in developing patient education materials and community outreach programs. This role offers hands-on clinical experience, growth within a supportive team, and guidance as you prepare for ABGC certification.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in genetic counseling
- Eligibility to sit for the ABGC certification exam within 1 year of hire
