Job Summary
Genetic Counselor II provides genetic counseling services to adult and/or pediatric patients and families across Dana-Farber’s programs, including hereditary cancer risk assessment, discussion of testing options, informed consent, result disclosure, and psychosocial support. The role supports care across Dana-Farber disease centers, satellite clinics, and affiliated settings, contributing to education, outreach, supervision, and research, with advanced knowledge of cancer genetics and strong teaching/presentation skills. Located in Boston and the surrounding communities, the position involves coordinating testing, documentation in the EMR, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary care team as Dana-Farber leads in cancer care and research.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Genetic Counseling
- Board-Certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling
- Current Genetic Counselor licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical genetic counseling
- Strong presentation and teaching abilities for education and training of interns/students
