Job Summary
Install, diagnose, and repair residential standby generators and related electrical systems. Assist with generator placement and preparation for plumbing installation. Conduct general electrical service calls and routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, and system checks. Ensure all work complies with industry standards, safety requirements, and company protocols while performing timely, high-quality installations with neat workmanship. Communicate clearly with homeowners and municipal inspectors, collaborate with plumbers, and prepare materials, equipment, and project timelines daily. Lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in extreme temperatures, including confined spaces. Requires a Residential Wireman License, 3+ years of electrical service experience, and a clean driving record. Pay ranges from $25-$30/hr with some overtime possible.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- 3+ years of Electrical Service experience
- Residential Wireman License at a minimum
- Strong communication/interpersonal/customer service skills
- A strong baseline understanding of the current Electrical Code and safety
- Ability to: Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot electrical devices and systems
- Ability to: Learn and adapt to evolving processes and technologies
- Ability to: Exercise sound independent judgment in technical situations
- Ability to: Manage multiple tasks with accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to: Work in confined spaces such as attics and crawlspaces
- Ability to: Perform physical tasks such as digging/excavating in varied soil conditions
- Ability to: Work outdoors in extreme temperatures
