Job Summary
Perform maintenance services on Mesa natural gas-powered generators and supporting equipment in accordance with company standards. Troubleshoot problems and resolve them in a timely manner while using service checklists to verify unit serviceability. Maintain accurate records by documenting service tasks and parts used, and update professional knowledge through constant study of Mesa units. Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams on product improvements and new product development. Drive company service trucks to customer job sites, maintaining clean and organized work environments while adhering to safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- High School or GED
- 1 year of experience operating 3/4 – 1-ton service trucks
- 1 year of trailer pulling experience
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers
- Must be able to pass and complete the Mesa Generator Technician course within 6 months of employment
- Understanding and familiarity of basic hand tools
- Understanding of standard and metric systems
- Understanding of electricity and associated hazards
- Proficient with engine troubleshooting tools including Engine Control Modules and gaseous fuel systems
- Mesa unit maintenance procedures and standards
- Basic mechanical and electrical repair methods
- Safety protocols and company policies
- Recordkeeping and documentation practices
- Troubleshooting techniques and diagnostic tools
- Customer service principles
- Use of digital tools for communication and documentation
- Performing routine and complex maintenance and repairs
- Accurately documenting service and parts usage
- Identifying, diagnosing, and resolving mechanical issues
- Providing professional, customer-focused service
- Using service checklists to ensure unit readiness
- Maintaining organized and safe work environments
- Communicating clearly via phone and computer

- Must be able to fluently speak, write, and read in English
- Willing to consent to and pass a background check and drug screening
- Must be able to pass a WorkSTEPS physical
- Willingness to work flexible hours including occasional evenings and weekends as required
- Willing to travel occasionally
Desired Qualifications
- Vocational / Technical degree with an engine or mechanical focus
- 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in a related field from an accredited university
- 2 years of related experience
- Honorably discharged service veterans
- Understanding of electricity and associated hazards, preferred
- Proficient with engine troubleshooting tools including Engine Control Modules and gaseous fuel systems, preferred
