Job Summary
Install residential gas lines and perform pipefitting work in compliance with local codes for standby generator systems. Assist with generator placement and preparation for electrical installation, then conduct general plumbing/service calls and routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, and system checks. Perform timely, high-quality installations with neat, professional workmanship while communicating clearly with homeowners and municipal inspectors. Collaborate with electricians and team members to maintain a safe, efficient work environment, lifting 50+ lbs and working in outdoor environments. Requires a Journeyman License and 3+ years of experience in gas piping or plumbing.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in gas piping, pipefitting, plumbing, or similar trades
- Journeyman License
- Able to lift 50+ lbs and work in outdoor environments
- Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with fabrication or mechanical assembly
- Strong communication/interpersonal/customer service skills
- Positive, professional attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to learn and adapt
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and make appropriate decisions
- Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks accurately
- Ability to climb into and through attics and crawl spaces
- Ability to dig/excavate in various soils
- Ability to work outside and in extreme temperatures
