Job Summary
Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and test 5kw to 4000kw generator systems while interacting with customers and correctly filling out paperwork. Read and apply technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to perform these tasks safely. Work various shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call pager rotations with occasional out-of-town travel or overnight stays. Ability to safely operate heavy equipment, forklifts, and mobile cranes according to OSHA regulations is required. Certified Journeyman Electrician experience is a plus. Required Qualifications
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Experience in mechanical and electrical fields
- Experience with diesel generators
- Technical schooling
- Experience in automotive or transportation fields
- Commercial electric experience
- Residential electric experience
- Military experience
- Willingness to learn and use new technologies
- Availability to work various shifts
- Availability to work weekends
